Cookie Policy
Klumpsy uses cookies sparingly. We only use what's necessary to run the service and keep you logged in. No ad tracking. No third-party surveillance. Here's exactly what we use and why.
TL;DR — We use essential cookies to keep you logged in, preference cookies to remember your settings, and anonymised analytics to improve the product. No ad tracking. Ever.
01What are cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences and keep you logged in. Klumpsy uses a minimal set of cookies — only what's necessary to run the service.
02Cookies we use
We use the following categories of cookies:
- Essential cookies — Required for the platform to function. These include your authentication session token (so you stay logged in) and security cookies. These cannot be disabled.
- Preference cookies — Remember your settings such as dark/light mode and your selected feed filters. These are stored locally and are not sent to our servers.
- Analytics cookies — We use anonymised analytics to understand how people use Klumpsy (page views, feature usage). No personally identifiable information is included. You can opt out.
03What we do NOT use
We do not use:
- Advertising or tracking cookies
- Third-party marketing cookies
- Cross-site tracking of any kind
- Fingerprinting or other invasive tracking methods
We will never sell cookie or tracking data to third parties.
04Third-party services
We use the following third-party services that may set their own cookies:
- Supabase — Authentication and session management
- Vercel — Hosting and performance analytics (anonymised)
These services have their own privacy policies and cookie practices. We have chosen providers that align with our minimal-data philosophy.
05Managing cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View cookies that have been set
- Delete existing cookies
- Block cookies from specific sites
- Block all third-party cookies
Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging into Klumpsy. Blocking preference cookies means your settings won't be remembered between sessions.
06Cookie consent
By using Klumpsy, you consent to our use of essential cookies. For analytics cookies, we ask for your consent separately. You can change your analytics preference at any time in your account settings.
07Updates to this policy
If we add new cookies or change how we use existing ones, we will update this page and notify you if the changes are significant. The date at the top reflects the last revision.
