Klumpsy is a dual-mode social platform where users can post anonymously (Klump mode) or publicly (Glow mode). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly.

We collect only what we need to operate the service:

• Email address and password (for account creation)
• Username and optional bio (for your public profile)
• School and city (optional, used for community features)
• Posts, comments, and votes you create
• Optional location data (only when you explicitly add it to a post)
• Device and browser information (for security and analytics)

Your data is used to:

• Operate and improve the Klumpsy platform
• Show you relevant content and communities
• Send notifications you've opted into
• Detect and prevent abuse
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

When you post in Klump mode, your username is never shown publicly. Depending on your chosen anonymity level:

• School + City: your school name and city are shown
• City only: only your city is shown
• Fully anonymous: no identifying information is shown

However, for safety and legal compliance, we retain a private link between your account and your anonymous posts. This is only disclosed to authorities when legally required.

Your data is stored on secure servers within the EU. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. We use Supabase for authentication and PostgreSQL for data storage, both of which are SOC 2 compliant.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time.

As a user in the EU/EEA, you have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Object to or restrict processing
• Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
