Losing your verified badge
Circumstances under which verification may be removed.
Your verified badge may be removed if:
- You change your username to a significantly different name
- Your account receives a serious guideline violation
- We determine the original verification was based on misleading information
- The account is sold or transferred (verification is non-transferable)
You'll receive 7 days' notice before removal in most cases (except where guidelines violations require immediate action).
