Muting a user
How muting works and when to use it instead of blocking.
Muting is a softer option than blocking. A muted user can still see your profile and posts, but their content no longer appears in your feed. They are not notified.
To mute: go to their profile → ··· → Mute. You can mute their posts, their stories, or both separately.
To unmute: Settings → Privacy → Muted accounts or go back to their profile and tap ··· → Unmute.
